Our night was a little odd, as cops came to question someone that was presumably drunk and damaged a golf cart at the Bay Lodging Resort. About 10 to 15 minutes after they arrived, as they are talking to someone outside, 2 girls came flying around the corner on a golf cart. The driver was going so fast and at a sharp turn that she ended up throwing the other girl from the cart onto the pavement. Now you CAN GET A DUI with these things, but apparently if you flirt with the cops, they wont do anything about it.
He replies "then you shouldn't drive"
Wanting to be safe, waiting another 15 minutes when they are finally done and the cops walk way without any tickets issued or arrests made, I politely asked if they had a breathalyser so I could see if I was safe to go back out with the group I was with.
.... Thanks for your help dude... really? You just let these CLEARLY drunk girls go, but you're going to give me attitude when I'm wanting to be safe and make sure I'm still under the limit?

My response "yes, a little" - thinking, obviously yes that's why I asked, and not a lot, but who wants a DUI for just at .08?
To my amazement and to the shock of the group of girls I was with, the officers acted concerned and even pissed... but within minutes they are flirting and it's like the cops forgot alllll about the woman they were questioning about the damaged golf cart. Now it was one big flirt fest. Seriously I wish I had video recorded it.
I guess moral of the story, if they catch you drinking on these things, just fall (golf cart girl) to flash your ass, flirt a bit and you're golden.
