I rented a 3 bedroom house and was sadly dissapointed. The cottages are under D&D cottages but the owner runs this golf cart outfit too. When I got to the cart rental place to retrieve the keys, the owner informed me the cottage was unlocked. I asked if there were keys to lock up and he said not to worry about locking up its safe here but there are keys in the house. So I just ignored him and when me and my bridal party arrived at the cabin and we were horrified. There were cobwebs everywhere. You couldn't pay me to eat off of the dishes, they were filthy. We were just gonna suck it up and stay until when we went to leave and lock the doors. The sliding door had no locking mechanism or key hole. We wedged a piece of wood in it and thought we would just lock the other doors. Wrong... the other back doors handle was broken and would not lock either. As we were leaving to go find a hotel to stay in we noticed a ladder beside one of the bedroom windows which was kinda creepy! Also a window air conditioner in a window where someone could just crawl in. When I called the owner he acted like we were crazy and I told him we didn't feel safe there. He offered to come fix the lock but that didn't change the fact the place was filthy. His response the spiders are really active in this area. After he charged my card I went back the next day to get a refund. He gave me the refund and I signed a receipt that said refund but I just got my credit card statement and the charge was never refunded so here I am disputing the charge. What a nightmare, do not rent from these people!
I've rented a golf cart from here three times. They are excellent! The carts are gas powered and drive much faster than the electric carts. You'll notice it when you drive up Langram Rd and pass other carts by. Also great prices if renting for two days and two nights.
We were only on the island for an hour and a half so we went here to get a hour rental. $12 and the #87 gas cart drove nice and quick. Pick up and drop off was easy. It's a two minute walk from the Miller but worth it
This place is a joke. We spent 5 hours in the car with 5 young children and arrived at 5:20 to the ferry. The lady informs us that if we're not staying on the island over night then we wouldn't have enough time to drive around or anything, because the last ferry leaves at 7. So, we'd take the 5:30 ferry arrive on island at 6 and then have to leave at 7. We called this company and explained what transpired and this young man replied in a snotty voice " of course the last ferry leaves at 7 everyone knows that". All we wanted to do was to see if he'd possibly move our reservation to the next day, but he seemed very upset and combative then hung up. I'm sorry but if a costumer is not yelling or being rude you should maintain yourself in a positive and respectable manor as well.
Very disappointed with the rental. Decided to rent from these guys because they advertise that they have the "best prices" on the island, after getting there and seeing that the price was raised because it was a Saturday we figured it must be that way everywhere. We passed several other rentals that were priced lower with nicer carts than the one we were given. Our cart jerked hard every time we took off and wouldn't maintain a normal speed (we had to drive far off to the side as people were constantly passing us in other carts). WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RENTING HERE!
